Introducing Mark Cassar - Technical Director

mark cassar transparent background 1 SmallMark brings a wealth of football experience and knowledge to the role of Technical Director at Alamein FC. He has over 30 years of coaching experience, during which time he has held several coaching positions across many levels of football. This includes the Australian National Soccer League (Senior & Youth), Victorian Regional Academy Centre’s, Victorian State Representative programs, NPL Youth, Senior State League, Senior Community and for two years the Technical Director role at Southern United FC in the WNPL. Under his guidance there have been several players who have both represented Australia and played at the professional level of football.

Mark also currently works full time with FFV as a Regional Zone Development Officer in the Gippsland region. His role encompasses many aspects of football working across 22 Clubs. He facilitates and delivers FFA Community Coaching Courses and has an excellent understanding of the FFA National Curriculum. He has also been instrumental in establishing and implementing the Talented Player Pathways across the Gippsland region, which includes working with local Sports Assemblies / Academies and strengthened relationships with ‘A’ & ‘W’ League Clubs.

He has also been a driving force in the growth and development in Gippsland of female community participation, female coach education, community clinics and female Talented Player Pathways. This also included the foresight to extend the reach of the WNPL in securing the first WNPL fixtured match in Gippsland in 2017.

Mark is a self-driven individual with a continued willingness to learn, innovate and implement strategic goals. Along with his strong leadership skills he has an outstanding record of achievement. He has the ability to manage and effectively develop people both individually and in a team environment.
Amongst his many skills, Mark isqualified to deliver FFA Coaching Courses, has an excellent understanding of the FFA National Curriculum and  currently holds an FFA / AFC Advanced 'A' licence.

Introducing Kat Smith - Senior Coach

Alamein FC would like to today announce the signing of our Senior Head Coach for 2020 / 2021 Kat Smith. Kat is passionate educator on and off the field with vast experience across the football system. She is a strong believer that participation in sport at all levels is a learning tool with a potential to develop the necessary skills required to navigate life’s challenges and enhance the steps taken in search of personal and professional success. Kat has embarked on a journey of formal and informal education, and sourced professional and personal education opportunities and welcomed many discovery experiences to not only develop her own knowledge but to also share it with the football community. She is currently undergoing her Pro Licence in Canberra. Kat Smith’s football pedigree speaks for itself: She is currently an Assistant Coach / Performance analyst for Junior Matilda’s National team and Opposition Analysts for Matilda’s Team. Until recently she was the Assistant coach to Jeff Hopkins for @victorywleague in the Westfield W League. And the list goes on!! Introducing Graham Dudley - Technical Director

Alamein FC is excited to announce it’s Technical Director for 2020, Graham Dudley. With over two decades of experience in football, most of which have been committed to the female game in both England and Australia, Graham has been involved from the inception of the NPLW with previous roles as Head Coach and Technical Director at Bayside United. He has also held additional formal roles as Director of Football at larger community clubs, universities and schools within Victoria. His broad experience will add an empathetic approach and support to the club, our players and our wider members too. The board of Directors are pleased to have Graham join Alamein FC as the 2020 Technical Director. Graham’s role will be to deliver the Club’s philosophy around the wider curriculum and a holistic development of "football personality", a way for players to express themselves within the team, club and community as great people and great players. When speaking at the Clubs Presentation last night Graham had the following to say. "I am extremely happy to be joining Alamein and working to reinforce what is a great foundation created by the club’s previous Technical Director Mark Cassar and Head Coach Sinisa Cohadzic and am genuinely excited to work alongside incoming Senior Head coach Kat Smith”. Graham will play a part in offering support and guidance in line with off the field aspects of players, resources and the science of the sport as well. Alamein FC would like to proudly announce the return of Andy Burnett for 2020. Andy recently completed his C licence and has aspirations to continue his football education in 2020 and beyond. Andy is a dedicated individual that grew as a coach under the guidance of @sikic10 in 2019 year and now will continue to grow and learn from Junior Matilda’s Coach Kat Smith. Alamein FC would like to announce the return of Nader Shukri as the U14 Head coach for 2020 NPLW season. Introducing David Risteski - U12 Head Coach 2020

Alamein FC would like to proudly announce the return of David Risteski for the 2020 NPLW season. David will continue his role with the U12’s but will be also joined next year with new co coach Hannah Ambor. The club Technical Director Graham Dudley has identified the importance of placing additional resources into the U12 group.
