Intern Opportunities
Alamein FC is has now opened up Internship opportunities for the 2027 season. These are unpaid internships that enable students and early-career individuals to gain valuable experience, resources and support in building their portfolios and careers. Most internships run for the duration of the NPLW season, which is approximately February to September.

Help tell the story of Alamein’s junior program across our digital channels.
You’ll take responsibility for our weekly junior coverage, gathering results and highlights from across the club, creating results graphics using supplied Canva templates, and producing our weekly junior wrap for Instagram. You’ll also help identify and develop player, coach and team stories for our website and newsletter.
Key responsibilities:
Produce weekly junior results graphics and Instagram wrap
Gather results, photos and highlights from teams
Identify and develop junior stories and profiles
Contribute content to the monthly club newsletter
Help ensure all junior teams are regularly represented across club media

Build a portfolio in sports journalism and football media while covering Alamein’s Senior NPLW team throughout the season.
You’ll attend weekly Senior matches (both Home and Away), write match reports for the Alamein website and conduct post-match interviews with players and coaches.
You’ll help us tell the stories behind the season while gaining experience producing published football content in a high-performance environment.
Key responsibilities
Write and publish a match report following every Senior game
Conduct on-camera interviews after home matches
Identify interesting players, stories and talking points
Produce occasional player or coach features
Contribute Senior content to club social media and newsletters

Take ownership of Alamein FC’s new podcast and help create engaging long-form and short-form content throughout the season.
You’ll help develop episode ideas, research topics, coordinate guests, record and produce episodes, and turn each conversation into content for our social channels. There is also an opportunity to host or co-host the podcast for the right person.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and produce two podcast episodes each month
Research topics and prepare interviews
Coordinate players, coaches and other guests
Record, edit and publish episodes
Create short-form social content from each episode

Help us turn Alamein Senior home games into events our players, families and supporters want to be part of.
This is a hands-on role covering both match promotion and the match-day experience. You’ll help promote upcoming games within our local community and coordinate activities at the ground, from junior involvement and supporter competitions to food, entertainment and sponsor activations.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and deliver promotion plans for Senior home games
Distribute posters and promotional material within the local community
Liaise with local businesses to help promote matches
Coordinate junior and supporter activities at home games
Help organise competitions, half-time activities, face painting, signs, chants and other ideas that build atmosphere
Coordinate volunteers and match-day activities
Help develop new ideas to grow attendance and improve the supporter experience

Gain practical experience in sports partnerships while helping Alamein deliver a great experience for the businesses that support our club.
Working closely with Alamein’s President and Vice President, you’ll help coordinate sponsor benefits and activations throughout the season. From collecting logos and organising signage to inviting partners to matches, coordinating content and identifying opportunities for partners to engage with our community, you’ll help ensure our partnerships are active and well looked after.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain our sponsor and partnership delivery tracker
Coordinate logos, signage and digital recognition
Keep partners informed about relevant matches, events and opportunities
Coordinate sponsor participation in club content and activations
Help partners create a presence at matches and within the Alamein community
Track delivery of agreed partnership benefits
Assist with end-of-season partnership reporting
What you can expect from us
Our internships are designed to give you genuine, hands-on experience, not just something to add to your CV. You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities and have the opportunity to produce work you can use in your portfolio.

What we expect from you
We know our interns are balancing study, work and other commitments. We don’t expect you to be available all the time, but we do need you to be reliable when you commit to something.
That means:
Taking ownership of your agreed responsibilities
Meeting agreed deadlines
Communicating early if you can’t complete something
Being responsive and keeping your team informed
Representing Alamein professionally and positively, including being mindful of potential conflicts of interest with other football clubs or organisations
Being willing to contribute ideas, learn and get involved
You don’t need to arrive with years of experience. We’re looking for people who are enthusiastic, dependable and ready to make the opportunity count.
