From Alamein to the world stage
Alamein FC has a proud history of helping players progress through the pathway, from juniors to Senior NPLW, to A-League Women, Young Matildas, US College programs and professional leagues overseas. Jacynta Galabadaarachchi is just one example of what’s possible.
Jacynta Galabadaarachchi played for Alamein FC and won the 2018 NPLW Rising Star Award while she was with us. This achievement marked the beginning of her rise to international play, culminating in her debut for the Matildas in 2025.
Jacynta’s time at Alamein was a significant step in her career, ultimately leading to further opportunities in Italy, Scotland, and Portugal before her recent move to U.S. Sassuolo Calcio in Serie A.
