Competing in the top tier
Football Victoria’s youth girls competition structure changes in 2027, with Alamein’s U13, U15 and U17 teams competing in GVYPL1.
GVYPL1 sits at the top of the new competition structure, with promotion and relegation connecting it with GVYPL2.
For Alamein, the new season continues the club’s commitment to providing a high-quality football environment for talented young players within a club dedicated entirely to girls’ and women’s football.
Why Alamein?
Alamein provides an all-female football environment spanning junior development through to Senior NPLW football.
Our youth players train and compete within a program focused on strong individual development, high coaching standards and competitive football, supported by a club culture built around Passion, Unity and Integrity.
Across the program, players have access to opportunities including strength and conditioning, specialist coaching and connections with Alamein’s Senior and U20 players through the club’s Buddy Program for junior players.
Alamein also continues to invest in its coaching program. The club’s 2027 youth coaching structure will be led by Technical Director Amy Crawford, with experienced and developing coaches working across the age groups to create a connected football environment.
The aim is straightforward: to give players an environment in which they can develop, compete and enjoy their football, while being challenged to keep improving.
Registration is essential
All players must be registered before taking part in an Alamein trial.
Players who have not yet registered can complete an Expression of Interest.
Players should not attend trials without first completing their registration.
We look forward to welcoming players to trials.
Interested in Alamein Academy?
Trials for Alamein’s 2027 Academy teams have now concluded.
However, players who missed the Academy trial period and are interested in joining Alamein are welcome to contact Technical Director Amy Crawford at td@alameinfc.com.au to enquire about any remaining opportunities.
We are exploring the possibility of expanding Alamein’s Academy program in 2027, providing community football opportunities for girls from U11 through to U18.
