It’s not a commercial. It’s a commitment.

At Alamein FC, we’re lucky to have some pretty incredible people behind us, on the pitch, on the sidelines, and throughout the broader community. For Female Football Week 2025, we wanted to do something a little different. We didn’t want to just talk about girls in sport, we wanted to hear from the people who support them. So we asked our sponsors to do something they don’t normally do: to speak directly to our players.

The idea was simple. Don’t promote your business. Don’t talk about your product. Just talk to the girls. Tell them why their sport matters. Tell them what you see in them. Tell them you’ve got their back.

The result is this video: We Stand With Her. It’s short, unscripted, and real. What makes it special is how genuine the responses are. Some of our sponsors spoke as parents. Others as community members. Some just as people who care about fairness, inclusion, and opportunity. But they all had the same message: “We believe in you. And we’re with you.”

Too often, sponsorship happens in the background, as names on jerseys, logos on websites. (And we’re proud to wear those logos on our jerseys and website!) But the people behind those logos? They show up. They care, and that makes a difference.

We know that a lot of girls drop out of sport during their teens. Not because they don’t love it, but because they’re unsure if they belong. Sometimes they just need to hear it out loud: that we see them, that they matter, and that their sport is worth sticking with. This video is one way of saying that.

To every sponsor who took the time to share a message with our players, thank you! It means more than you may know, not just to us, but to the girls who see it.

And if you’re a business or individual wondering what it might look like to support a club like ours, maybe this video is a good place to start. This is what real partnership can look like: not just visibility, but shared values. Not just money, but belief.
